Updates on current pursuits

My absence from this space does not mean I've been away from Necronomicon studies, as some of you may know. As of now, the news is out of the profound research undertaken by a team at Universidad Valencia de Montecruz (UVAM), in Mexico, on a set of documents which include a Greek copy of the Necronomicon. I have also been involved in this work, and the first two volumes of the most complete, most extensive recension of the Necronomicon in Spanish and, furthermore, in the American continent, have been issued forth by UVAM's Department of Publications, and distributed exclusively through Mandragora Ediciones.The first volume, titled "The Names of the Lost", focuses on Alhazred's testimony and his initiation at the tomb of Queen Nitocris. The second, "The Liturgy of Chaos", describes his first visit to the Nameless City alongside his teacher Ibn Schacabac, and expands upon the origins and nature of Azathoth like no other edition before this, as well as the origin of the Old Ones.

     This does not mean that this blog will remain abandoned; quite the contrary, I will strive to present new materials in the near future. In the meantime, you can find a new, albeit minor, expansion on my article titled The “Kandarian Passages”, thanks to a new fragment having been unearthed. Other related portions have also been found, but apparently belong to a different section. The eventual publication of the section of the Necronomicon pertaining to necromancy is being debated at UVAM, but these particular sections cone from a wholly different source, therefore I trust I will be able to publish them here as soon as Raymond Knowby's notes surface, as expected (a shout-out to Kelly Maxwell for lending a hand! I hope the Ghostbeaters's next visit south of the border will unearth quite a trove).

      Another treat you may look forward to is my retrieval and publication, right here, of the fully translated G'harne Fragments, as found in the Miskatonic University Archives! (just don't tell 'em, they don't know I've got 'em!)
